Prevue Among BC’s Top Employers 2023
We are thrilled to announce that Prevue is the proud recipient of BC’s Top Employers award for 2023. This special designation recognizes the British Columbia employers that lead their industries in offering exceptional workplaces.
Employers throughout BC were evaluated by the editors of Canada’s Top 100 Employers using the same criteria as the national competition: (1) Physical Workplace; (2) Work Atmosphere & Social; (3) Health, Financial & Family Benefits; (4) Vacation & Time Off; (5) Employee Communications; (6) Performance Management; (7) Training & Skills Development; and (8) Community Involvement.
With a focused effort on attracting and retaining top talent at Prevue, we are honoured to receive this award. For insights on this achievement, we’re sitting with Ashley Salvador, COO, to learn more about Prevue’s initiatives to secure this celebrated win.
Why do you think this award is important to Prevue?
For Prevue, this award is proof positive that a strong company culture starts with putting people first. We’re proud to be a small employer, with big employer benefits. We make sure that working at Prevue is a rewarding and fulfilling experience, and this award acknowledges that.
What does it mean for current and potential employees of Prevue?
Our current team can feel a sense of pride because they played a role in making this happen. We work hard and always take time to celebrate our successes together as a team. For potential employees, this will give them a sense of what it is like to work at Prevue.
What areas will Prevue want to focus on next as a Top Employer?
Our team’s work-life balance will always be important. We’ll continue to implement progressive and forward-thinking programs – currently, we are piloting an “Every Other Friday Off” program. We’re also committed to expanding our diversity & inclusion initiatives and educational programs for all employees.
What advice do you have for employers to attract and retain top talent?
Remember to prioritize your people. For us, the key is to get team feedback and keep an open conversation around changes and new initiatives. As the workforce continues to evolve, I believe that keeping up with trends like offering a hybrid environment, or the 4-day work week are going to be less ‘nice to haves’ that employees look for when applying, but instead, must haves. We are also always looking for new and innovative ways to retain our people. I strongly believe that investing in their futures through educational programs that will directly impact their career paths is a great way to do this.
